Bangle Mag is Born
For culture vultures and maven ravens
It’s been just over two weeks since Issue One of BANGLE was released into the wild.
Featuring original fiction on the theme of Spring Feast, as well as arts, travel and lifestyle features from seasoned writers, the flip-book magazine was intended for readers to download to their tablet and enjoy at their leisure.
It shouldn’t come as a surprise that the majority of users have (so far) accessed the mag via their mobile phones. And amongst hundreds of readers, only a small handful have successfully downloaded it from the website at or via the direct link.
I guess these teething problems are to be expected with any new venture and I’m grateful that so many readers are invested in the future of the magazine.
Issue Two is set to be released in Summer 2025, with a loose theme of Grapevines. I’m inviting flash fiction contributions between 300-500 words which can be sent to estellaruawrites@gmail.com. Contributors will receive a limited edition print copy, and stories can be in any genre. This opportunity is open internationally, so please spread the word. Deadline for entries is April 30th 2025.
Food for thought:
Careless whispers, thirsty birds, inebriated harvesters, bad vintages, terrible terroir, vinegar rot, coq au vin, blanc de blancs, cold chardonnay and a packet of nuts.
Bonne continuation!
Estella
